A new job wherein I spend a lot of time sitting at a desk pretending to do work has allowed me to troll the blog- and newsosphere like never before. My gchat status has, of late, been the platform for interesting news stories. But now they will be broadcast for the world as useless news.
For starters (and the article that prompted the resurgence of the site) we have an inspirational story with both technology and heart. No, not robot love but a one-armed man who, with the help of Nokia, is now able to use a smartphone like the rest of the free world.
For a minute, try to tap out a text message with one hand. Or tweet with only five fingers. My guess is, even autocorrect can’t help you. These are the hardships that this man has had to deal with, but no longer! I’m just waiting to see what kinds of upgrades are available. I’m thinking a 5.1 speaker system, projector… the possibilities are endless.
